After School Reading Program

The Reader Leader Club is an after school reading program specially designed for elementary students struggling with reading.  This is a fun and engaging journey where learners will develop reading skills, fill in reading gaps that have hindered progress and growth, and help learners gain a love for reading and expressing themselves creatively through words.

This program is a six-month guided journey divided into three parts and delivered in weekly one-hour sessions in a supportive virtual classroom environment.  Each week, teachers and teacher guides will engage students in reading strategies, discussions, interactive games, and review take-home supplemental activities for learners to continue their growth journey between sessions.

Teachers are experienced professionals in the education field, versed in engaging learners in online classrooms.  Teacher guides are vetted interns and volunteers who have had experience with learners and would like to gain more experience for professional development.
